This will result in a portfolio based on three practitioners and workshops/classes in at least three styles of dance.
Component 2: Developing Skills and Techniques in the Performing Arts, students will develop their performing arts skills and techniques through the reproduction of dance and repertoire of two minutes in length, which will be accompanied by a written log book.
Component 3: Performing to a Brief, students will be given the opportunity to work as part of a group to choreograph a workshop performance in response to a given brief and stimulus. The performance will be approximately 10 minutes in length.
Assessments and tasks will focus on current practices within the professional world of dance involving performances, case studies of professional dancers and companies.
