One of our students, Kaddy, who is a Member of Youth Parliament (MYP), recently had the opportunity to deliver a speech in the Houses of Parliament and has shared her experience. 

As a member of Youth Parliament (MYP), Kaddy’s role is to positively represent the views of children and young people in the Local Authority in the national UK Youth Parliament (UKYP). An important part of their role is attending the House of Commons Sitting in London. This is a unique opportunity as MYPs are the only group, other than MPs, permitted to sit on the green benches

Join us for the Year 10 Revision Evening on Wednesday 2 April. The evening aims to provide guidance and support to equip parents/carers to support their child on revision. The event is from 5.45pm (6.00pm start) until 7.15pm.

Today, nationally the progress and attainment for A level qualifications has been released by the DfE  and we are delighted to share that North Leamington School tops the table and is the number one school for  16-18 performance in progress. Nationally this puts NLS 171^st out of over 4000 providers of 16-18 provision across the country, top 3%!  

We welcome Year 9 students to apply to compete in the Cyber Explorers Cup, which is a one-hour-long cyber security competition, offering the chance to win incredible prizes for the classroom.

The competition follows a 'capture the flag' format with each victory unlocking new puzzles and security tasks, pushing students’ skills to the limit.

We would like to thank all the 30 external education and employer providers who supported our annual Careers Fair for Year 10 and Year 11 students on January 16.

Students were able, in small groups, to ask a range of questions to our guests to learn about the opportunities that are available and gain further insight into what their next steps post Year 11 could be.  Students received a booklet beforehand to record the information that they were able to find out about at the event and will be using this to update their careers journey on Grofar, our careers platform.

This was a fantastic opportunity for students to engage with representatives from a wide selection of companies and a range of local colleges, sixth form, and universities.

We are very grateful to all those who supported our event and the feedback from our students showed they really enjoyed the event which will help them in making informed decisions going forward in relation to their post-16 career journey.

On Friday 13 December, students were invited to replace their blazer with a Christmas jumper. To support the Save the Children charity, we kindly asked for a £1 donation which could be made in cash on the day or via ParentPay (www.parentpay.com). We are delighted that over £593.59 was raised for this important charity.
