Year 7 Students Enjoy a Trip to Birmingham Botanical Gardens

As an International School we want to provide opportunities for all of our students to experience the world in different ways. As such, this week our Year 7 students enjoyed an exciting and informative trip to Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

During their visit, students learnt about different natural environments, such as rainforests and deserts. Students attended over three days in October with their Tutors in their Colleges, which also gave them an opportunity to build relationships within their Tutor Group.

Students had the chance to handle a range of exotic animals, such as corn snakes, giant land snails and bearded dragons, whilst learning about special adaptations these creatures have developed and the habitats in which they live. They also took part in a team-based rainforest challenge when they followed clues to discover information about various rainforest plants. Everybody enjoyed exploring the gardens and the glass houses together and had a wonderful trip.

Their behaviour and attitude was excellent, and they were a credit to the school.
