Number Hero Competition Success for Isabelle

We are delighted to share that Isabelle J in Year 7 has been chosen as a runner up in the recent national  Number Heroes Competition  to celebrate National Numeracy Day across England.

The aim of National Numeracy Day (on May 22)  is to celebrate numbers and how we use them in everyday life. The day is designed to encourage people to feel curious about numbers, explore how they can benefit them in their day to day life and give them the confidence to develop and improve their numeracy skills.

As part of celebrating National Numeracy Day all Year 7 students took part in the Number Heroes Competition.  The students created a poster to show how they would use numeracy in their dream job or hobby, and we had some wonderfully creative entries.

The competition had over 10 000 entries and we are thrilled an NLS student was chosen as a runner up in our age category.

Congratulations to Isabella Jackson who, heard last week ,she had been chosen and has won a £20 gift voucher and a certificate.
