Whole School Celebration Evening

On Thursday 27 June we celebrated our students at our annual Whole School Celebration Evening.

Students across Years 7 to 13 were nominated by staff for their outstanding contribution for a range of reasons including exceptional learning behaviours in and out of the classroom and contributions to school life beyond the curriculum.

Students were nominated in each year group based on their outstanding contributions at a Faculty level (CORE, Humanities and Performance), to their Year Group and Sports Personality of the Year Awards.

Students Leaders were recognised for their outstanding contributions for their leadership in Careers, and to our Transition, Eco and the International Schools programmes.

In addition, awards were presented to highlight outstanding contributions and achievements on a Whole School level.

Whole School categories included: Equality, Character and Culture, Charity and Community, Overcoming Adversity, Overall Academic Achievement in Year 11 and in Year 13 , Duke of Edinburgh Team of the Year, Michelle Mountfield IEN Award and the Head Teacher’s Award.

Our guest speaker, His Honour Judge Andrew Lockhart, joined us from the Warwickshire Justice Centre.  He shared his career, from the military, to his role as a barrister and now as a judge, and the lessons that he has learnt along this path. These centred on kindness, perseverance and preparation, which struck a note with all of the students and with our CORE values.

Congratulations to all students nominated for their outstanding contributions and to the overall winner in each category.
