The students were terrific on the 24-hour coach journey down to resort via France, Belgium and Germany: everyone's good spirits helped the time pass as quickly as it might.

The snow in the Alps has this year been comparatively light but with plenty of north-facing slopes, high runs and effective snow cannon coverage there was plenty to keep everyone challenged: from the dedicated beginners to the adventurous top group (with all the gradations in between), each student showed lots of great personal and group qualities to progress and enjoy all that was on offer!

Each day involved five hours skiing and we complemented this with a comprehensive package of evening entertainment: 

• A bowling evening
• Swimming and chutes at Europe’s premier destination
• A sports night
• Ice Hockey
• An awards evening

The journey home was a challenge with a delay at Calais but it was testimony to the students’ resilience, positivity and team spirit that this did not impact a wonderful trip.

Thanks to the staff who supported the students throughout, thanks to the parents/carers for help in the smooth-running of the trip but, above all, thanks to the brilliant students who made it a real privilege for all to be a part of.
